Don't Blame Me!!!

When things go wrong, the natural tendency is to look for someone to blame. You can go all the way back to the Garden of Eden on this one... The next time you experience a failure, think about why you failed instead of who was at fault... People who blame others for their failures never overcome them. They simply move from problem to problem. To reach your potential, you must continually improve yourself, and you can't do that if you don't take responsibility for your actions and learn from your mistakes.

I do a fairly decent job at not blaming others for things that go wrong. I tend to blame myself more than blame others. But this is a really good reminder to me that I need to learn from my mistakes and not let it get me down as it so often does. Sometimes I feel like it's not ALL about learning from my mistakes, but also learning to laugh at myself. "Laughing is the quickest way to get up and get going again when you've been knocked down." I've seen what it looks like for people to always put the blame on other people, and it does nothing but destroy them. I don't know how to end this blog, so I'll just say that this was a good reminder/reflection time for me, I hope it does the same for you.
